At Briq Finance, our mission has always been to democratize access to real estate development by bringing construction-phase projects on-chain through tokenization. As the regulatory landscape matures and the technical demands of tokenizing real-world assets (RWA) evolve, it has become clear that the foundation we choose is as critical as the product itself.
Today, we are excited to announce that BRIQ will officially launch on Plasma (XPL).
Why Plasma? A Strategic Shift
Plasma (XPL) is a next-generation Layer-1 blockchain engineered specifically for high-volume financial applications. With its EVM compatibility, sub-second finality, and paymaster-driven gasless architecture, Plasma provides the technical rails that Briq requires to scale from thousands to potentially millions of tokenized property transactions.
Unlike generic L1s, Plasma’s architecture is optimized for stablecoin-centric financial flows. This is crucial for Briq, as nearly all of our tokenized construction investments involve payment, redemption, and distribution in stable assets.
Technical Benefits for Briq
1. Gasless Stablecoin Transactions
Plasma natively supports zero-fee USDT transfers through its paymaster system. This eliminates one of the largest onboarding barriers for real-estate investors entering crypto: the need to acquire and manage gas tokens. On Briq, users will interact directly with tokenized property assets without ever worrying about holding XPL for fees.
2. Sub-Second Finality & High Throughput
With block times below one second and the ability to process thousands of transactions per second, Plasma ensures that capital flows in Briq—whether investor deposits, milestone-based payouts, or secondary market trades—are executed instantly and without bottlenecks. Construction financing involves frequent micro-transactions, and Plasma’s architecture ensures smooth scalability.
3. EVM-Compatibility & Rapid Porting
Briq was originally designed for Solana, but our modular smart-contract framework is highly portable. Plasma’s EVM-compatibility means that we can deploy Solidity-based logic without redesigning the protocol from scratch. This allows us to transition Briq Terminal from Solana to Plasma in record time, while retaining all core compliance, reporting, and tokenization features.
4. Paymaster Abstraction for Compliance Flows
Our compliance engine—responsible for KYC/AML verification, jurisdictional checks, and milestone-based disbursements—maps seamlessly onto Plasma’s account abstraction model. Through paymasters, Briq can sponsor compliant users’ interactions, embedding compliance logic into the transaction layer itself. This reduces friction for regulated investors while maintaining full auditability.
5. Improved Liquidity Pathways
Plasma has already achieved significant adoption, with billions in TVL and deep liquidity pools across stablecoin pairs. For Briq, this means improved on- and off-ramps for investors, as well as a more stable foundation for secondary trading of tokenized property fractions.
6. Interoperability & Bridges
Plasma’s cross-chain bridges enable investors to move capital seamlessly from Ethereum, Solana, and other ecosystems. This interoperability aligns with Briq’s global investor base and ensures that participants can onboard with the assets they already hold.
Strategic Positioning
By becoming one of the first major RWA protocols on Plasma, Briq secures a first-mover advantage in an ecosystem that is rapidly gaining traction. We are not simply migrating contracts—we are aligning our mission with an L1 purpose-built for financial applications, stablecoin adoption, and real-world utility.
This move also positions Briq as a flagship application within Plasma’s growing ecosystem. Early alignment with Plasma’s foundation and ecosystem fund will allow us to secure strategic incentives, liquidity support, and joint marketing campaigns—amplifying BRIQ’s reach far beyond what would have been possible on legacy rails.
The Future of Briq on Plasma
The Briq Terminal, our investment platform, is already being adapted for Plasma deployment. Thanks to our modular architecture, all existing features—real-time compliance, fractionalized ownership, milestone-based payouts, and investor dashboards—will remain intact. The shift to Plasma will further enhance:
Lower transaction overhead for users
Faster settlement of tokenized property trades
Seamless integration with stablecoin-based financial instruments
Improved liquidity for secondary markets
Closing Thoughts
Compliance has always been non-negotiable at Briq. But compliance alone is not enough—our infrastructure must also meet the technical requirements of institutional-grade finance. Plasma offers exactly that: speed, scalability, and a stablecoin-first architecture that is uniquely aligned with Briq’s mission.
By launching BRIQ on Plasma, we are not just adapting to a new chain—we are building on the rails of the future financial internet.
Stay tuned for more updates on the official launch timeline, token deployment, and the upcoming release of the Briq Terminal on Plasma.
